Put your imagination “in gear” and join us for our second annual “Touch-A-Truck"!
Kids of all ages will get a firsthand look at police, fire, construction, trash and all the really cool work vehicles we see every day, but don’t get the chance to touch.
Is your tummy rumbling? Several food trucks will be rolling in to give families the option to purchase dinner, beverages and snacks.
We will have inflatables available for kids to play on. Don't forget to bring socks! Socks are available for purchase, $1/pair while supplies last.
Cost: $5/car, no registration required. Proceeds will fund our Camp Financial Aid Program!
The Park will be closed from 3-6 pm in preparation for the event. Participants will not be allowed to enter earlier than 6 pm.
Summer Kick-Off Campfire on May 13th!

5/13 from 7-8:15 pm at Marshbank Park
Kick-off the summer with a campfire overlooking Cass Lake. Learn about Michigan animals, sing a song and of course what's a campfire without s'mores! Try a toasty and tasty campfire cooked pie too! This is a family program. Registration is REQUIRED for ALL adults and children.

Featured Class of the Week: Woodworking
 5/18-6/22 from 1-3 pm at the Pontiac Creative Arts Center (47 Williams St., Pontiac)
Learn the fundamentals of turning wood. This class is designed for those interested in making functional and artistic art pieces out of ordinary wood. No experience is necessary. All equipment and tools are supplied. The focus is on technique and the participant will progress from a simple bottle stopper, to a pen, to a beautiful wooden bowl. A $35 lab fee covers the cost of the supplies used during the class. The facility is not handicap accessible at this time.
Register before 5/8 and save 50% off the registration fees. Residents will pay $47.50 and nonresidents will pay $52.50.

Learn some new dance moves in "Motown Ballroom"

5/12-6/16 from 6:30-7:30 pm at the Recreation Activities Center
This unique and popular style of ballroom dance stems from the "Baby Boomer" generation and is done in some of the most popular night spots. It is a combination of the Social and the Cha-Cha. You will learn basic ballroom steps and several dance combinations. Individuals and couples are welcome. The last class will run from 6:30 to 8:30 pm.
