American Rescue Plan Act Reporting and Compliance Deadline: April 30, 2025

Intended Audience: Any local government official or vendor, including clerks, treasurers, elected officials, finance directors, city, township, or village managers, auditors, accounting staff, certified public accounts and accounting firm that works in the area of accounting, finance, bookkeeping, etc. 

The Michigan Department of Treasury wanted to provide an additional reminder of an approaching deadline related to the American Rescue Plan Act’s (ARPA) State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (SLFRF) reporting and compliance.

If you received SLFRF funds, you are required to comply with periodic reporting requirements and deadlines. Each SLFRF recipient is required to submit either an Annual or a Quarterly Project and Expenditure Reports no later than April 30, 2025.

The linked memorandum below serves as an important reminder regarding your allocation of funds under the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA).

The U.S. Department of Treasury and the National League of Cities (NLC) are partnering on a new model to help support cities and villages needing support or information with reporting and compliance.
