Important Updates
State Programs Procedures Manual
The 2023-24 State Programs Procedures Manual has recently been updated. Newest additions to the manual include:
- Reconnect Expansion Program Information
- Clarification on Home-schooled Students and Michigan Achievement Scholarship
- For Michigan Achievement Scholarship and Michigan Achievement Skills Scholarship, if the institution accepts the home-school documents as proof of high school completion and the student meets all other eligibility requirements, they will be eligible for the award.
High School Graduation Year and Month CEPI Update
We are excited to announce that high school graduation data for 2023 high school graduates from CEPI is now available in MiSSG! New this year; High school graduation month has also been updated.
High school graduation completion information may be confirmed in the Student Information section of MiSSG. If the ‘HS Grad Confirmed by CEPI’ indicates “Yes,” this can be used as documentation for a program review. If the status is “No” or blank, the institution must provide proof of high school completion. The ‘HS Grad Confirmed by CEPI’ information can also be found on the ‘Eligible Students Report’ and ‘Information Roster.’
Please note that this data update may change the eligibility status of students on your roster, including some students you may have already certified for payment. Impacted institutions with students already certified as of 11/9 that are no longer eligible will receive an additional communication from our office. In the meantime, SSGO highly recommends evaluating your eligible students and certified students regularly to ensure accuracy and updating information, as necessary.
Important File Upload Reminder
Please review your CSV files in notepad for additional rows with no data prior to upload. Files with excess blank rows can stall the system and require intervention from the vendor.
