To be eligible for the Michigan Achievement Scholarship, students must graduate from high school in Michigan in 2023 or after OR complete a certificate of high school completion or equivalency certificate in 2023 or after.
Institutions are required to verify student graduation credentials when CEPI data is blank or "No."
To update out-of-state high school information in a student's MiSSG record, institutions should review the following instructions, 'How to Update High School Out-of-State Graduation.' At this time, institutions will need to submit the MiSSG ID of verified out-of-state students to the Michigan Achievement Scholarship program coordinator after updating the student's MiSSG record. The Michigan Achievement Scholarship records will then be updated to an “ineligible” status.
