LEO is working alongside Treasury and CEPI to remind community colleges of the importance of ensuring the students participating in the Reconnect Grant program are submitted in the STARR collection. The Reconnect Grant will provide greater access to the education and skills needed to succeed in, and meet the demands of, an evolving economy in which there is continuing demand for a talented local workforce.
One of the ways we connect these outcomes is ensuring that colleges review their “No UIC on File” report in the MiSSG system, and request UICs for the students included in the report. In addition, please compare UICs in the MiSSG system and UICs in your student information system. If you find different UICs being utilized for the same student, please submit a linking request to link the two UICs in CEPI's MSDS.
Institutions should ensure all students enrolled by June 30, 2023, including those who are participating in the Reconnect Grant program, are submitted in the STARR collection by Sunday, October 15, 2023.
