Michigan Competitive Scholarship Status 2023-24
Effective Academic Year 2023-24, high school graduates 2023 and greater will no longer be eligible for the Michigan Competitive Scholarship (MCS).
Public Act No.103 of 2023 amends Public Act No. 208 of 1964 MCL 390.971 to 390.981 to end competitive scholarship eligibility of students enrolling in college for the first time after the fiscal year ending on September 30, 2023, as those students may be eligible for the Michigan Achievement Scholarship.
We are working with our vendor to implement system updates. Currently 2023 high school graduates are reflected as eligible for MCS in MiSSG. Additional information will be communicated once the system changes have been made.
