Thank you for continuing to help spread the word about the Michigan Achievement Scholarship. We wanted to share some program updates and reminders to help you assist your students at your institution.

EFC <= 25000 Report

As we continue to work with our vendor to launch the Michigan Achievement Scholarship into MiSSG, institutions can utilize the EFC <= 25000 report to identify 2023 high school graduates who meet the requirement.

This report includes students who meet the following conditions:

• Be assigned to your institution via being the first Michigan institution on the FAFSA School Choice section
• Have an EFC less than or equal to 25,000
• Have a high school graduation year (or its equivalent) of 2023 reported in MiSSG

Note: The Center for Educational Performance and Information (CEPI) confirms high school graduation data with Student Scholarships, Grants and Outreach (SSGO) after the data is validated by CEPI. This high school graduation data for 2023 high school graduates is expected to be available in MiSSG by October 2023. All graduation data presented in MiSSG prior to October 2023 is expected graduation information.

To access the report:

• Log into your MiSSG account
• Select MiSSG, then click on Reports
• Under the Activity Reports, choose the EFC <= 25000 Report
• Select the 2023-2024 Academic Year, and then click on Generate Report.

Summary Page Reminder

Institutions now have access to a Summary Page in MiSSG for students who have listed a participating Michigan institution on their FAFSA, even if the institution is not listed first. We encourage institutions to utilize this tool and provide students with instructions on transferring their record to the institution of their choosing. 

As the Michigan Achievement Scholarship continues to be developed in MiSSG, there will be additional reports available to identify eligible students at your institution.

Transferring Institutions in MiSSG

The preferred method to transfer a student record is via the student utilizing their MiSSG Student Portal account. Students who need to transfer their MiSSG record to a different institution can either update it in their MiSSG Student Portal or call us at 1-888-447-2687 for assistance.

SSGO has created instructions for students to assist in the transfer process. SSGO is continuing to communicate to encourage students and parents to make sure the institution they are planning to attend is listed first.
