Good afternoon:
Please be aware the MiSSG High School Counselor Portal will be unavailable beginning Friday, August 19, 2022, and will open again for Academic Year 2022-23 in early September.
In the meantime, Lead Administrators should submit a Data Use Agreement (DUA) for Academic Year 2022-23. Completing a DUA gives high school counselors access to our data management system, MiSSG, where they can view student records including: FAFSA completion data, SAT records, and eligibility for the Tuition Incentive Program (TIP). To access the DUA, visit our High School Counselor MiSSG Portal Resources.
As a reminder, all Data Use Agreements must be:
- Completed electronically and annually
- Submitted via email to mistudentaid@michigan.gov by authorizing principal/superintendent
Also, do you have a college adviser placed at your high school from one of the three college advising corps (AdviseMI, Michigan State University College Advising Corps, or Michigan College Advising Corps)? If so, be sure to list their names in Section 3 of the DUA (see below). Utilize the new check boxes to indicate whether the staff member is a high school counselor or a college adviser. Again, the college adviser must be from one of the three college advising corps (listed above) to have access to MiSSG.
For questions, please contact MI Student Aid at 1-888-447-2687 or mistudentaid@michigan.gov.
