Secretary of State’s office returns to Farmers Market at the Capitol

ExpressSOS.com booth offers plate tab renewals, other online services

LANSING, Mich. – Secretary of State Ruth Johnson announced today that her office will return to assist customers Thursday at the last of three Farmers Markets on the Capitol lawn in Lansing.

The ExpressSOS.com tent will be open 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and staffed with Secretary of State employees able to answer questions and assist with ExpressSOS.com online transactions.

“We’re so pleased to continue being a part of this terrific event,” said Johnson. “Residents love the homegrown produce, flowers and other goods available at the market, and we’re thrilled to offer them the opportunity to use ExpressSOS.com to take care of Secretary of State business at the same time.”

Since ExpressSOS.com was launched in late 2011, more than five million transactions have been successfully handled online, saving customers a trip to their local branch office. It also features Print ‘N Go, which allows users to buy their tabs online, print off a receipt, and carry the receipt until their tabs arrive in the mail. text.
