 SOS Community Affairs Director, Mobile Office to be at WCCCD Oct. 21
Mobile office visit is part of several college stops this fall to offer students voter registration and additional Secretary of State services
DETROIT, Mich. — Secretary of State Ruth Johnson today announced that her community affairs director will hold office hours on her behalf from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday in the atrium of the Corporate College on the Eastern Campus of the Wayne County Community College District, 5901 Conner, in Detroit.
The Secretary of State’s Mobile Office will also be on campus from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday in the parking lot near the main student entrance to the Corporate College. The full-service branch offers all of the transactions available in a standard branch office.
“We’re pleased to be at Wayne County Community College to offer our services to students, faculty, staff and residents,” said Johnson. “The Mobile Office provides a great opportunity to register to vote, renew your license plate tabs, sign up to be an organ donor and much more.”
Johnson encouraged those on campus and area residents to stop in the Corporate College and talk with her executive office representative.
“We greatly value receiving feedback and ideas from Michigan residents,” Johnson said. “We want to hear what they like, what they don’t and how we can serve them better.”
Johnson said the visit will also be used to highlight the Secretary of State’s online services at ExpressSOS.com, which features the most popular Secretary of State services.
The Mobile Office visited WCCCD’s Eastern Campus on Sept. 16 and is scheduled to return to the Corporate College again on Nov. 5 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
