Qualified Voter File (QVF) Supported Browsers: Switching from Internet Explorer to Edge |
If you currently use Internet Explorer to access QVF, you will soon need to move to Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome.
Two browsers are currently supported by QVF: Internet Explorer 11 and Chrome. On August 17, 2021, Microsoft will end support for Internet Explorer 11 (IE11). This browser will be replaced with Microsoft Edge, which is currently available as the default browser in Windows 10. Please see the icons below.
Chrome will continue to be a supported browser to be used with the QVF, but QVF will no longer be able to support Internet Explorer once it is expired. Those who would like to test Microsoft Edge for now may do so now. Some of its functions are similar to Chrome. Once our testing is complete in house, we will publicly announce Microsoft Edge as a fully supported browser.
For now, please be aware that this browser change is forthcoming. Consider using Edge to see if you like it and please let us know if you are experiencing any issue(s) while remembering that we continue to test.

Qualified Voter File Multifactor Authentication (MFA) Update |
The Bureau of Elections staff continue to send out Yubikeys to clerks across the state. If you have received your Yubikeys for your jurisdiction already, please enable all users in your city, county, or township. This helps ensure the security of QVF. Users have two options to enable Multifactor Authentication (MFA): smart phone or Yubikey. Enabling Yubikeys requires that you use either Edge or Chrome browsers. Internet Explorer cannot be used for this purpose.
To distribute the load and QVF Help Desk support calls, we are requesting that you work with your User Administrator (usually the Clerk or Deputy Clerk (or designee)) to enable MFA according to your Yubikey delivery date. Please refer to the Yubikey schedule below and enable by your designated due date.
The schedule is as follows:
Yubikey Received By/Between Date
Enable MFA Due Date
November 20, 2020
January 18, 2021
November 21st and December 15, 2020
January 29, 2021
December 16th and February 1, 2021
February 26, 2021
Users that do not have their MFA enabled by their designated due date will be automatically enabled by the QVF software. Please refer to the MFA materials found under the QVF Help Menu or the Troubleshooting Guide for additional reference.
In addition to the schedule above, please note that all new users will automatically need to enable their MFA to access the QVF beginning at the start of the 2021.
Thanks for your proactive action to help ensure that the QVF is secure.
