Training Attendance & Make-Up Sessions

One thing we know at the Bureau of Elections is clerks and their election administrators are dedicated to elections.  96.5% of all jurisdictions have either attended Election Cycle Preparation training or have registered for the remaining sessions being held in the Upper Peninsula in May.  With 1602 jurisdictions in the State of Michigan, this number is simply excellent and confirmation to the voters of this state that you are preparing for a great election year.  Thank you!

Make-Up Sessions

If you were not able to attend Election Cycle Preparation or Train the Trainer, make-up sessions have been scheduled.

Train the Trainer for Election Inspector Training Coordinators:  Tuesday, June 5th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Delta Township Hall; Lansing, MI

Election Cycle Preparation for 2018:  Tuesday, June 12th from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Delta Township Hall; Lansing MI

Wednesday, June 27th from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Haring Township Hall; Cadillac, MI

Make-up sessions for QVF Refresh are in the process of being scheduled and will be announced in the coming weeks.

Five Year Anniversary of News Updates!

This week marks the fifth year of weekly News Updates to election administrators from the Bureau of Elections.  While the anniversary of a communication isn't the most noteworthy of occasions, it is an important reminder of how we communicate to you.  In this age of security concerns that include phishing, ransom ware, and other types of email attacks, it's an important reminder of exactly how the Bureau of Elections communicates with election administrators.

The News Update is our primary communication. You can count on it being in your in-box every Friday (and Wednesdays when you have a special election).  The links provided are safe content.

Add these email addresses and domains to your safe senders or contacts in your email system to avoid official messages being sent to spam or junk folders, or outright rejected.  This also adds a layer of protection as systems can flag if someone is "sending as" these legitimate emails.
