-- For immediate release --
Will announce
expansion of MI-TIME Line service for customers
 WHO:
Secretary of State Ruth Johnson
WHAT:
Brief news conference
WHEN:
10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 30
WHERE:
Livingston County PLUS Office, 1448 Lawson Road, Howell
WHY:
Secretary Johnson will discuss the launch of the third phase of the MI-TIME Line service, which allows customers to get in line online or by phone and to receive updates via text, saving them a wait in the office.
The program has been well received by customers at the first 18 Secretary of State offices that have implemented the technology and it is now being expanded to six more of the busiest branch offices throughout Michigan, including the Livingston County PLUS.
Johnson will also talk about what the office is doing to improve customer service online with ExpressSOS.com, which allows customers to bypass an office visit altogether.
