WHAT:
News conference to call attention to May as Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month and highlight the importance of training and having a motorcycle endorsement.

WHEN:
10:30 a.m. Monday, May 2
9:30 a.m. (weather permitting):  Secretary Johnson and other motorcyclists will ride from the ABC Harley-Davidson dealership on 4405 Highland Road (M-59) in Waterford Township to the CREST Center at Oakland Community College’s Auburn Hills campus, 2900 Featherstone Road.

WHERE:
The CREST Center, Oakland Community College – Auburn Hills campus. Once on campus, CREST is at the end of Mott Road.

WHY:
Secretary Johnson and traffic safety partners will highlight the need for motorcyclists and motorists to share the road safely. With the coming of warmer weather, more motorcyclists will be out. Motorists are advised to look carefully for motorcyclists, especially at intersections, when making left turns and changing lanes.
