Mohawk Secretary of State office returning to one-day-a-week service in November

LANSING, Mich.  - Secretary of State Ruth Johnson reminds residents that the Mohawk office returns to one-day-a-week service instead of two beginning in November as it adjusts to seasonal business volume.

The office at 3616 U.S. Highway 41 will be open on Thursdays only beginning the week of Nov 2. Hours remain 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with a lunch closure from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. The last day for Tuesday service for the winter will be Oct. 27.

The Mohawk office opened in January 1999 and is the first full-service Secretary of State office in Keweenaw County.

Customers renewing driver’s licenses, state IDs or license plate tabs are encouraged to go online to ExpressSOS.com to conduct their business. Easy to follow instructions are on the renewal notice. License plate tabs will arrive by mail within 14 business days. Renewals may also be submitted by mail or in person at a Secretary of State office.
