New area offices to let customers get in line online, make appointments
WHO: Secretary of State Ruth Johnson
WHAT: Johnson will visit the Oakland County SUPER!Center to talk to customers and staff about the office’s innovative MI-TIME Line service that lets customers get in line online and make appointments. Johnson announced recently that the service will be expanded to eight more offices, including those in Canton Twp., Clarkston, St. Clair Shores and Warren by the end of the year.
WHEN: Wednesday, June 3 2 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. Oakland County SUPER!Center 1608 N. Perry St. Pontiac
WHY: Almost 1.5 million customers have used the MI-TIME Line system in the 10 offices where it is now available since it was launched in January 2014. Response from customers has been overwhelmingly positive.
Once customers are signed in, MI-TIME Line calls or sends a text message when they are about to be called. Customers who don’t have a mobile phone can stop by the office, check in at a special MI-TIME Line kiosk and get a printed ticket. They can check their estimated wait time on a monitor at the office before heading out to run errands.
