 Secretary Johnson to announce new eCourse portion of training course

WHAT: News conference to call attention to May as Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month and highlight the importance of training and having a motorcycle endorsement. Secretary Johnson will announce a new online training component to the public motorcycle safety course to better train students.
WHEN: 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 1 9:45 a.m. (weather permitting): Secretary Johnson and other motorcyclists will ride from the MotorCity Harley-Davidson dealership on 34900 Grand River Ave. in Farmington Hills to Schoolcraft College.
WHERE: Schoolcraft College, 18600 Haggerty Road, in Livonia.
WHY: Secretary Johnson and traffic safety partners will highlight the need for motorcyclists and motorists to share the road safely. With the coming of warmer weather, more motorcyclists will be out. Motorists are advised to look carefully for motorcyclists, especially at intersections, when making left turns and changing lanes.
