  1. If you're single or married without children, you don't need Life Insurance.
  2. Life Insurance is too expensive.
  3. I have Life Insurance through my job. If I leave or retire,I'll bring my policy with me.
  4. My beneficiaries will have to pay income tax on the proceeds from my Life Insurance policy.
  5. I'm a full time parent and draw no income. Surely, I don't need Life Insurance.
  6. I'm already retired; It's too late for Life Insurance.

OUTDOOR SENIOR PROGRAMS


The Senior Center remains closed until Oxford Township Parks & Recreation reaches Phase 6 of the Michigan Safe Start Plan. If you are interested in any of the programs, please contact the Senior Center at (248) 628-1720 to see what programs are being offered outdoors (noted below) or to place your name on an “interest list.” When we reach the point where our Township can offer programs safely in the Senior Center, we will contact you, and, if you are still interested, we will take registrations at that time.

Current programs being offered in Seymour Lake Township Park @ Laidler Pavilion located in rear of the park, unless noted.

Time for Tea – Ellis Barn, Springfield Oaks County Park

Tuesday, Oct. 6 @ 10:30 a.m.

Oakland County Parks and Recreation Historian Carol Egbo will discuss the history of the 1884 Ellis Barn, a 14,000-square-foot structure that features a true gambrel roof. It was the only Michigan barn referenced in the nationally renowned book, The American Barn. Originally located on Dixie Highway in Clarkston, the barn was relocated to Springfield Oaks County Park in 2005. Click this Zoom link to participate.
