Oxford Township Parks & Recreation

COVID-19

On April 9, Governor Whitmer extended her 'Stay Home, Stay Safe' order through the end of April. Per the order, the Oxford Township Parks & Recreation Office and Senior Center will remain closed until the end of April. We will tentatively reopen May 1.

For updates on our programs, office hours and more, please visit our website: www.oxparkrec.org or follow us on social media.

As a community, we’ll come through this stronger than we were before, hopefully, with memories that are better than we imagined!

PARKS & FACILITIES

Our parks are currently open, however, bathrooms and play structures are closed.

We would like to politely remind everyone: If you are going to enjoy the open spaces at the parks, please keep a safe distance from others.

Virtual Hunt

Our department was able to secure an early visit from the Easter Bunny! Enjoy and share our Virtual Egg Hunt!

How many eggs can you spot?

BROCHURE & PROGRAMS

SS20

The intended mailing date for the Spring Summer 2020 Brochure was Friday, April 3. With the uncertainty at the time, we opted to postpone it. Now, due to the closure of the schools and the extended restrictions, we are unable to offer many of the programs offered in that brochure. At this time we are discussing our options to distribute program information once all executive orders have been lifted.

During these unprecedented times, our department has started processing program refunds/credits this week. Please watch your email for communication regarding individual programs.

2020 SUMMER CAMPS

The Spring Summer 2020 Brochure would have showcased all of OTPR's summer camps. At this time, we intend to offer the camps, pending the direction of Governor Whitmer and the CDC recommendations. This includes:

Registration has been postponed and will be communicated upon the office reopening.

MPARKS: VIRTUAL PLAY & WELLNESS

As the Shelter in Place timeline has been extended, Michigan Recreation and Parks Association has created a Virtual Play & Wellness Network to help keep you healthy and active. A special THANK YOU to MParks for compiling these helpful resources!
