Celebrate Summer at Oxford Township Parks & Recreation's 10th Annual Seymour Celebration July 6-7, 2018! Two Unique Days of Carnival Rides & Activities, Live Entertainment, Family Fun and Free Daytime Parking!

Two Day Carnival - Friday & Saturday with over 20 amusement park rides & activities. Pre Sale Carnival Wristbands - Available until 12:00 (Noon), Friday, July 6.

KLR SPLASHPAD

Searching for a great way to cool down on a hot summer day?  Need a place to hold your next party?  This state of the art, universally accessible splashpad is open from June 2 through Labor Day from 11am-6pm weather permitting. The entrance fee is Free for residents under two years old, $1 per Oxford resident child over two years old, and $4 for all non-resident children. Family summer passes may be purchased at the parks and recreation office, $25 for resident family and $50 for non-resident families.

Registration is going on now for our FUN-N-SUN SUMMER CAMP

Do you need someone to watch the kids this summer?  Then let the Oxford Township Parks & Recreation Team entertain & supervise you child.  Fun-N-Sun counselors are trained and experienced staff in constant contact with the children.  Campers will enjoy a daily camp theme and will have opportunities to enjoy arts & crafts, sports, swimming, open gym and more each & everyday. This summer our Fun-N-Sun camp has scheduled the following field trips & extra activities:

  • 6/21- Longway Planetarium, Flint
  • 7/10- Brick It Up at Camp
  • 7/26- DNR Activity Center, Detroit
  • 8/10- Tye Dye Day at Camp
  • 8/15- Groveland Oaks, Holly

Where: Oxford High School

When: Monday-Friday

Time: 9:00 am- 5:00 pm

Rates: Weekly/5 Day: $125 (Oxford Res Sub $10)

*Week 4 Rate:  $102 (Oxford Res Subtract $10)

Daily Rate:  $40 (Oxford Res Subtract $10)

Children must have completed Kindergarten thru completed 6th grade.

    Tour the State of Michigan Historical Museum with Michigan history from pre-historic times through the late-20th century. Major exhibits include a 3-story relief map of Michigan walk-through Upper Peninsula copper mine, one-room schoolhouse, 1920's street scene, 1957 Detroit Auto Show and more. Includes lunch at the Spartan Hall of Fame Cafe' a "must see" dining spot in East Lansing. A local step on guide will guide us around the Lansing area and M.S.U. campus. A comprehensive one-hour guided tour of the 132 year old State Capitol Building. Please be aware there is a good amount of walking on this tour. Motorcoach transportation. Tuesday, June 26, Resident cost $77.00 | Non-resident cost $82.00.

    YOUTH SUMMER ATHLETIC CAMPS

    Is your child looking to learn or enhance their skills in a sport? Oxford Township Parks & Recreation offers a variety of summer athletic camps that provide opportunity to improve fundamentally.

    New this summer, join Miss Margee as she brings her love for children into these fun & educational summer themed classes.

    These (4) fun and educational themed classes will be held at Oxford Township Parks & Recreation Community Room.

    • When: June 27- July 25, no class on July 4
    • Cost: $30.00 Resident | $40 Non-Resident
    • Ages/Time: 1 & 2  9:15am- 10:15am
    • Ages/Time: 3- 5  10:30am- 11:30am
    • Material fee: $5.00 per child, payable to instructor at first class
