May 6, 2025 Special Election
The Results
On Tuesday, May 6, 2025, Ottawa County held a Special Election. We had over 49,000 voters cast a ballot in the May Election - about a 21% turnout. Which is a slight increase from the May 2024 Special Election.
Voters in specific jurisdictions and precincts decided on local proposals and there was a countywide school proposal.

The New Election Results Reporting Website is Live!
If you haven't had a chance to check out the exciting upgrade to the Ottawa County Clerk Elections Division election results reporting website, you are missing out!
The Elections Division worked hard to find a new website that was user-friendly and had enhanced navigation. The goal was to allow voters and the general public to be able to view election results in a variety of ways, making election data more accessible and insightful.
The new website offers some outstanding features, such as:
- Allowing voters to search and filter contest categories or indicate their 'favorite' key races for quicker access to those results.
- More data analysis options with downloadable files in multiple formats.
- There are also charts, graphs, and precinct-level maps that clearly display voter turnout and trends.
The site will allow Ottawa County voters the ability to access real-time election results as soon as they are made available!
We were so excited to be able to join the West Coast Chamber of Commerce for another amazing Community Impact Day. Over 2,300 volunteers from the Ottawa County area spent the day working with 74 different non-profit organizations. The work completed that day helped to finish projects and tasks that saved the participating non-profit organizations over $252,000 in labor costs.
The thirteen member crew from the Clerk/Register of Deeds office joined other volunteers to assist Camp Blodgett with projects to help prepare their grounds for the upcoming campers and other events to be held on the camp grounds. Our volunteer group, made up of individuals from all our divisions, spent the afternoon assisting with landscaping, cleaning, and other event prep projects.
