Our Thanks to You
As 2024 comes to an end, the Clerk/Register of Deeds Leadership Team has taken a moment to reflect back on all the achievements our office has enjoyed this year.
Upon that reflection, we realized how many other teams, internally and externally, we owe our gratitude. This year would not have been as successful as it was without these teams.
Our office worked closely with the Strategic Impact Office to study the internal processes of our Circuit Court Records Team and helped us identify areas for improvement.
We have so much appreciation for our HR Department. This year we ran so many new hires through their doors as we hired election workers for our Early Voting sites.
The Fiscal Department was an essential partner as we navigated the Early Voting budget and grant submission processes.
As we prepared for our move to the Family Justice Center, expanded our storage needs, and hosted numerous election inspector trainings and a recount, the Facilities Team was there every step of the way to help ensure everything went smoothly.
The IT Department has been spending extra time with us this year, as we updated our Elections website and prepare to launch a new software for board meetings.
We leaned heavily on the Communications Team as we provided different social media education initiatives with their amazing help.
The Ottawa County Sheriff's Department was an integral part in the success of our 4 elections this year.
We also can't thank our local clerks enough. They stepped up during Early Voting and with assisting with the recount of the Republican Commissioner Race in District 9. Not to mention all the work they normally do through the year.
We also owe thanks to the Loutit District Library and the Spring Lake District Library for hosting our Community Election Conversations and Oreo mock elections.
There are so many wonderful people who have helped us this year and thank you just doesn't seem to be enough. Please know our appreciation runs deep and we know our success was greatly dependent on you.
