Ottawa County Unemployment Rate for July 2024

Preliminary unemployment rates for July 2024 were recently released by the Michigan Department of Technology, Management, and Budget. Ottawa County had an unemployment rate of 4.1%. This rate was the fourth lowest of all Michigan counties in July and .3 percentage points higher than June’s rate. This change is less than the median increase of .5 percentage points across all Michigan counties during the same period.

Mackinac County had the lowest July unemployment rate in Michigan at 3.7%, while Oscoda County had the highest rate at 8.3%. All counties in Michigan have seen their unemployment rate increase over the year.
