Join Ottawa County Parks to celebrate the completion of the Jenison Mill Segment of the Idema Explorers Trail connecting Ottawa and Kent County marked by the Secchia Gateway Arch.

Jenison Mill Segment
This 1-mile segment will be the final connection from a 2-mile existing segment of the Idema Explorers Trail in Georgetown Township to the existing trail system in Kent County. As a result, bike/pedestrian trail users in this area will be connected to 100-miles plus of trails in Kent County, including connections to Millennium Park, Kent Trails, downtown Grand Rapids, the Grand Rapids riverfront, as well as several other trails. Additionally, users from Kent County will have access to Bend Area Park in Georgetown Township, which features over 4 miles of hiking trails with Grand River access.
Parking and Event Details
The walk from the parking area to the event location is approximately 0.5 miles (as highlighted below). Shuttles will be available for transportation if desired.
