Ottawa County Unemployment Rate for April 2023

Ottawa County’s preliminary unemployment rates for April 2023 were recently released by the Michigan Department of Technology, Management, and Budget. Ottawa County’s April unemployment rate dropped to 2.3% from March’s rate of 3.4%—the lowest for Ottawa County since December 2019. This rate is the fifth lowest in Michigan for April, with unemployment rates ranging from 1.5% in Livingston County to 13.4% in Mackinac County.

Of Michigan’s 83 counties, 82 saw their unemployment rates decrease from March to April.
