As the holiday season approaches and I wait, as usual, until the last second to purchase gifts for family and friends, I want to take a moment to reflect on 2022 that is rapidly coming to an end. It's been a busy year, and we accomplished a lot. I want to take this opportunity to thank the outgoing County Commissioners for their service and duty to the citizens of Ottawa County. Commissioners Matt Fenske, Al Dannenberg, Joe Baumann, Greg DeJong, Frank Garcia, Jim Holtvluwer, Phil Kuyers and Randy Meppelink worked hard for many years on behalf of Ottawa County residents and should be commended for their service and dedication. I also want to welcome the incoming County Commissioners who will take office in January. On behalf of the employees of Ottawa County, I look forward to working with them to continue to provide the high level of services to our residents.
