Ottawa County Preliminary Unemployment Rate for January 2022

The preliminary unemployment rates for January 2022 were released recently by the Michigan Department of Technology, Management, and Budget. Since December, Ottawa County's unemployment rate has increased to 3.4%. This unemployment rate is currently the second-lowest unemployment rate in Michigan, with rates ranging from 3.3% in Washtenaw County to 17.0% in Mackinac County. "Michigan regional labor markets exhibited typical seasonal increases in unemployment rates in January, "said Wayne Rourke, associate director of the Bureau of Labor Market Information and Strategic Initiatives.
