CORRECTION > Ottawa County Preliminary Unemployment Rate for May 2021

The preliminary unemployment rates for May 2021 were released recently by the Michigan Department of Technology, Management, and Budget. Ottawa County's unemployment rate increased slightly from April from 3.7% to 4.3%, which according to the Michigan Department of Technology & Budget, is due to the increase in number of people who have entered the labor force but have not found employment yet. CORRECTION: This is currently the fourth-lowest unemployment rate in Michigan, with rates ranging from 9.0% in Oscoda County to 2.9% in Livingston County.
