Perry St. between 106th, 104th Aves. closes Monday for water main work

WHEN: May 24, 2021 through July 23, 2021

WHERE: Perry St., between 104th Ave. and 106th Ave., Holland Twp.

WHY: Water Main Work

BACKGROUND: Perry Street, between 104th Avenue and 106th Avenue in Holland Township, will be closed beginning Monday, May 24, 2021, for a permitted water main project being conducted by Holland Township. The project is expected to run through July 23, 2021. Please note that all dates are tentative and work is weather dependent.

DETOUR: The planned detour for this project is 104th Avenue/M-121/106th Ave.

72nd Ave. to close between Blair, Tyler streets for culvert replacement work

WHEN: Starting on Monday, May 24, 2021

WHERE: 72nd Ave., between Tyler St. and Blair St.

WHY: Culvert Replacement

BACKGROUND: On Monday, May 24, 2021, the Ottawa County Road Commission (OCRC) will begin a culvert replacement project on 72nd Avenue between Tyler Street and Blair street in Blendon/Olive townships.

This closure is expected to last until Tuesday, May 25, weather permitting.

Road Resurfacing:

Note: Resurfacing does not close the road. It will remain open to through traffic, with temporary lane closures.

Who manages the roads and how are they funded?
The Ottawa County Road Commission manages the roads. The Ottawa County Road Commission is funded by fuel taxes, vehicle registrations and millage dedicated to the Ottawa County roads. Other property taxes you pay to Ottawa County do not fund road repairs or snow removal. Concerns about roads should be directed to the Ottawa County Road Commission. Questions?
