Ottawa County's unemployment rate declining
The preliminary unemployment rates for October 2020 were released recently by the Michigan Department of Technology, Management, and Budget. The data show progress toward a return to normalcy with significant decreases in unemployment rates across the state. Ottawa County’s unemployment rate has decreased from a record high of 20.9% in April to 3.1% in October. This is currently the second-lowest unemployment rate in Michigan, with rates ranging from 8.2% in Wayne County to 3.0% in Mackinac County.
