Special Event: Ottawa Sands Park Field Day
Saturday, July 18, 2020 from 10 am-2 pm

Swing by Ottawa Sands County Park for an afternoon of family-friendly activities*, snacks, and an opportunity to weigh-in on future improvements. Rain or shine, it will be a fun, free event for all the community to enjoy! 

Your input from the community field day will directly inform the Visioning Plan design process. Information on additional community input sessions will be made available as dates and locations are scheduled.

Attendees are encouraged to drive into the park on Saturday; the gate will be open. 

*Activities/input areas will be set up for appropriate social distancing.

Funding for the Ottawa Sands Master Plan

Financial assistance for the Ottawa Sands Master Plan was provided, in part, by the Coastal Management Program, Water Resources Division, Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy, under the National Coastal Zone Management program, through a grant from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, U.S. Department of Commerce. This grant leveraged funds from the Parks & Recreation millage.

Funds for master planning were also donated from the Ottawa County Parks Foundation.  The Ottawa County Parks Foundation exists to ensure additional funds are available to support the parks system. Learn how to support your parks here.
