Port Sheldon St. reconstruction from 48th to 40th Aves. in Georgetown Twp. starts July 6

WHAT: Road Reconstruction

WHERE: Port Sheldon St.

TOWNSHIP: Georgetown

START DATE: Monday, July 6, 2020

ESTIMATED COMPLETION DATE: Friday, October 23, 2020

PROJECT DETAILS: Port Sheldon Street from 48th Avenue to 40th Avenue will be reconstructed. The existing 2 lane road will be reconstructed to a 3 lane road with paved shoulders, concrete curb and gutter, and storm sewer.

The project is expected to begin on Monday, July 6, and be completed by Friday, Oct. 23. Note that all dates are tentative, and work is weather-dependent.

TRAFFIC IMPACT: Port Sheldon Street be closed to through traffic during this project, with access being maintained for those living within the construction limits. The detour will consist of 48th Avenue/Baldwin Street/36th Avenue.
