Save the Date - Ottawa Sands Park Field Day

Saturday, July 18, 2020 from 10 am-2 pm

Swing by Ottawa Sands County Park for an afternoon of family-friendly activities*, tasty food, and an opportunity to weigh-in on future improvements. Rain or shine, it will be a fun, free event for all the community to enjoy! 

Your input from the community field day will directly inform the Visioning Plan design process. Information on additional community input sessions will be made available as dates and locations are scheduled.

*Activities/input areas will be set up for appropriate social distancing.

What does YOUR Ottawa Sands County Park look like?

  • Post photos to your Instagram account and describe what you like to do at the park, what could be improved at the park, or what you wish you could do at the park.
  • Submit your entry by following @miottawa_sands and tag us in your photo. DM us your picture and comment.
  • Photos will be reposted on the miOTTAWA_SANDS account to create a collective community gallery that directly influences future plans for the park.

Financial assistance for the Ottawa Sands Master Plan was provided, in part, by the Coastal Management Program, Water Resources Division, Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy, under the National Coastal Zone Management program, through a grant from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, U.S. Department of Commerce. This grant leveraged funds from the Parks & Recreation millage. Funds were also donated to the project from the Ottawa County Parks FoundationThe Ottawa County Parks Foundation exists to ensure additional funds are available to support the parks system. Learn more here
