Road Resurfacing: Port Sheldon St./44th Ave., Georgetown Twp.

Port Sheldon St./44th Ave. Road Resurfacing

WHAT: Road Resurfacing

WHERE: Port Sheldon St./44th Ave.

TOWNSHIP: Georgetown

START DATE: Monday, June 15, 2020

ESTIMATED COMPLETION DATE: Friday, July 10, 2020

PROJECT DETAILS: The Ottawa County Road Commission will be resurfacing Port Sheldon St./44th Ave. in Georgetown Township between Chicago Dr. and 8th Ave.

The project is expected to begin on Monday, June 15, and be completed by Friday, July 10. Note that all dates are tentative, and work is weather-dependent.

TRAFFIC IMPACT: Port Sheldon St./44th Ave. will remain open during this project, however there will be temporary lane closures utilizing flag controls.

OCRC seal coat program begins Monday

The 2020 Ottawa County Road Commission seal coat (chip seal) program begins Monday, June 5.

Crews are expected to begin work in Chester Township, starting on 40th Ave. and Sherman Blvd., working their way south to Sehler St.

From their, crews are expected to head to the following areas next week:

24th Ave.: Sehler St. to Crockery Lake; Crockery Lake to Sherman Blvd.
16th Ave.: Harding St. to Sherman Blvd.
Coolidge St.: 40th Ave. to Kenowa Ave.
Harding St.: 48th Ave. to Kenowa Ave.

Once done in Chester Township, OCRC crews will work their way to Tallmadge Township.

Note: Resurfacing does not close the road. It will remain open to through traffic, with temporary lane closures.
