A temporary lane closure is planned starting at 9 a.m. Monday, May 18, on 68th Avenue over the Grand River, south of Leonard Rd.
Contractors plan to close the southbound lane of 68th Avenue for approximately 2 hours while crews put barges in the water to begin the clean out of debris around the piers of the 68th Ave. bridge.
Traffic on 68th Avenue will be maintained in both directions using temporary flag control, so expect delays.
This work is being done in advance of a project slated to start in June on the 68th Avenue bridge deck. This work is anticipated to start on June 8 and last through July 31, and will result in the closure of 68th Avenue over the Grand River between Leonard Rd. and Osborn St.
