Hayes St. west of U.S. 31 to close beginning Sept. 23 for railroad crossing work

The Ottawa County Road Commission has been notified that Michigan Shore Railroad is scheduled to reconstruct their railroad grade crossing on Hayes Street west of US 3.1. in Grand Haven Township.

The crossing will be completely closed off to traffic starting Monday, Sept. 23, 2019, and is expected to be closed for one week.

A signed detour for Hayes Street shall follow U.S. 31 south to Ferris Street then west to Lakeshore Drive then back north to Hayes Street.
