Pigeon Creek Park Lodge in West Olive to open Friday, January 25 from 1-10 pm

The Pigeon Creek Lodge will open for the first time this season on Friday, January 25! The facility will be open from 1-10 pm, with concession and ski/snowshoe rental available until 8 pm.
Pigeon Creek Park will be open from 7 am-10 pm. XC ski trails will be lit after dark.

Pigeon Creek Lodge Hours:
- Monday-Thursday: 4 pm-8 pm
- Friday: 1 pm-10 pm
- Saturday: 9 am-10 pm
- Sunday: 9 am-8 pm
**The lodge is only open in satisfactory conditions. Be sure to check the trails website or call the hotline to confirm hours.
Ski and Snowshoe Rental:
Two-hour Ski Rental:
$8 adults; $5 youth; $2 per additional hour
Two-hour Snowshoe Rental:
$6; $3 per additional hour
Skis and snowshoes may be rented when the lodge is open. A picture ID or credit card required as security for all rentals. Rentals are cut off two hours before the lodge closes to ensure all equipment can be returned and checked in before closing.
The Nature Education Center at Hemlock Crossing County Park also rents snowshoes during business hours: T-Sat, 9 am -5pm; Sun 12-5 pm.

Ski Lessons
Cross-country and skate ski lessons are available on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays during January and February. Preregistration is required and space is limited. For exact dates, visit our program and events calendar.
The fee is $8 for the 1 ½ hour lesson. Skis are not provided, but can be rented at the lodge (see Fee section below). Rental is first-come, first-served and not guaranteed. More details will be e-mailed prior to class.
We offer three levels of classes:
- Beginner: Learn about equipment and basic techniques. For adults & children 10+; every two children must be accompanied by an adult.
- Intermediate: For experienced adult skiers wishing to refine their technique and ski more efficiently.
- Skate Ski: For experienced adult skiers who want to learn the basics of several skate techniques. Skate skis are required and a limited number are available to rent in the lodge.
Please note that hiking, biking, and dogs are prohibited in the park during winter operations.
Location and Directions: Pigeon Creek Park is located at 12524 Stanton Street in West Olive. From US-31, take Stanton Street and travel three miles east to the park entrance. From 120th Avenue, travel west on Stanton about a half mile. The park entrance is on the south side of the road.
