Ottawa County Honors Employees for Customer Service

Join us in congratulating Marshall Boyd from the Ottawa County Innovation & Technology Department and Amber Reagan from the Ottawa County Clerk/Register of Deeds Office, who have been recognized as Ottawa County’s Outstanding Customer Service Award recipients for the third quarter of 2018. Marshall demonstrates a diverse set of technical skills as well as top notch interpersonal skills. His contribution allows the Innovation and Technology Department to deliver innovative solutions to technical issues in addition to providing responsive customer service. Being chosen for this quarter’s Customer Service award is a credit to his dedication for providing value to our customers, ” said Aaron Boos, Manager of Applied Technology.

“The Clerk/Register of Deeds office strives to provide a service to the public that exceeds our customer’s expectations. Our team members take that challenge to heart as they are always going above and beyond. Amber is no exception to that important part of our culture. As our team lead, Amber is often consulted by her team for circumstances that require more in-depth and out of the box, creative problem-solving skills. Her ability to seek and accomplish customer satisfaction through ingenious solutions is inspiring. This scenario that was submitted speaks volumes to the character of Amber and is just one example of what is the norm for her. It takes a special person to use personal time to help a customer and Amber does it without a second thought. Amber exhibits the natural traits and mindset of what the Ottawa Way is truly all about- humbly serving and caring about the citizens of Ottawa County." said Jody Hansen, Clerk/Register of Deeds Supervisor.

Implemented in 2012, the Customer Service initiative is one of the County’s Four C’s, along with Communication, Cultural Intelligence and Creativity. Customers can nominate an Ottawa County employee for an Outstanding Customer Service Award at miOttawa.org.
