Construction Update

Cottonwood Drive reconstruction update

Cottonwood Drive project detour

Work continues to progress out on Cottonwood Drive, with contractors working this past week to wrap up water line installations, and install concrete curb and gutter, and sidewalk along the west side of Cottonwood.

Contractors continued to grade the west side of Cottonwood Drive in anticipation of paving a base course of asphalt on the westerly two lanes of the road next week.

Weather permitting, the paving is scheduled to take place on Tuesday.

We ask for your patience as crews prep the westerly lanes, as there will be times when curb cuts into driveways will be steep and uneven. This is only temporary until we get all of the new asphalt surface in place.

As a reminder, Cottonwood Drive is still closed to thru traffic. Drivers are asked to please follow all posted detour routes for the duration of the project.

The detour route for the project is Baldwin Street to 20th Avenue to Bauer Road to 24th Avenue to Fillmore Street.
