Ottawa County Honors Employees for Customer Service

Join us in congratulating Jared Hayward from the Ottawa County's Innovation & Technology Department and Shawn James from the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office, who have been recognized as Ottawa County’s Outstanding Customer Service Award recipients for the second quarter of 2018. “Jared continues to show a diverse set of skills that allow IT to create customer efficiencies, provide solutions to technical issues as well as deliver friendly customer service. By receiving this Customer Service award, it shows his dedication to providing value to the overall County process,” said Aaron Boos, Manager of Applied Technology.

“Shawn’s dedication to serving his community does not end when his shift is over. Shawn is always there to help others in need and will tell you 'that’s just what we do'. Shawn’s dedication to the Sheriff’s office as well as his church and the Boy Scouts are a true reflection of The Ottawa Way," said Captain John Wolffis.

Implemented in 2012, the Customer Service initiative is one of the County’s Four C’s, along with Communication, Cultural Intelligence and Creativity. Customers can nominate an Ottawa County employee for an Outstanding Customer Service Award at miOttawa.org.
