Road Commission Construction Update: Aug. 30, 2018

Notice: Our office will be closed Friday, Aug. 31, and Monday, Sept. 3, for the Labor Day holiday weekend. We will be back open at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4. Have a safe and relaxing holiday!

Cottonwood Dr. Reconstruction:

Here’s the latest update from this past week:
  • Water main has been installed from Baldwin up to Wallin Drive, and crews continue to lay water main to Bauer.
  • A second crew arrived on site last week and are working on the 84-inch culvert, and the proposed water main under the culvert. The culvert should be completed this week, weather permitting.
  • The sewer force main has been connected at Elmwood and the force main is now on active.
  • The gravity sewer replacement and lining has also been completed.
  • The crew working on the culvert will work on water main once the culvert is completed.
The detour route is Baldwin Street to 20th Avenue to Bauer Road to 24th Avenue to Fillmore Street.Residents and businesses needing access to Cottonwood north of Village Lane are asked to access via Bauer Road. Those who need access south of Village Lane are asked to access via Baldwin St.
The estimated completion date is Oct. 19.

Resurfacing does not close the road, it will remain open to through traffic, with lane closures.
