West Michigan Works! Seeks Input from Local Employers
Ottawa County, Michigan sent this bulletin at 06/05/2018 12:46 PM EDTOne of the biggest challenges facing West Michigan employers today is finding talent - talent with the necessary credentials, and talent with the basic employability skills needed to create a dependable workforce.
To address this challenge, West Michigan Works!, with the help of a group of educators, is creating a scalable curriculum and assessment to teach the specific employability skills needed in our region. To create the best possible product, employers are needed to provide the input for the content of this curriculum.
West Michigan Works! is hosting a series of focus groups so that local employers can share their experiences and frustrations regarding employability skills and ensure that the final product meets their needs.
