 Road Commission Special Construction Update: Cottonwood Dr. Reconstruction Begins

 The reconstruction and closure of Cottonwood Drive is scheduled to being tomorrow: Wednesday, May 16, 2018

Here are some important things to remember as we start this project: 

  • During the first phase, Cottonwood Drive will be closed north of Baldwin St. up to the Bauer Rd. intersection. During this phase the Bauer/Cottonwood intersection will remain open.
  • During the first phase, Cottonwood Drive will also be closed south of Baldwin St. to Church St. 
  • Cottonwood south of Baldwin is scheduled to be reopened by June 8, 2018. The section north of Baldwin will remain closed throughout the project. 
  • The road will be closed to through traffic. Residents and businesses on Cottonwood will still be provided access, though you can expect delays due to construction. 
  • The majority of the work will begin on the south end of the project during the first phase, with a large focus being on the Cottonwood/Baldwin intersection. 
  • The Cottonwood/Baldwin intersection will remain open for the entire project, but you can expect delays and possible lane closures. 
  • Thank you to residents and business owners for your patience. We look forward to creating better traffic and safety conditions in this area in the future with this project.
