Current-Road Resurfacing Item I:

Upcoming- Resurfacing Item II:
Resurfacing on Item II is scheduled to begin in two weeks, specific dates will be announced next week.

Resurfacing does not close the road, it will remain open to through traffic, with lane closures.

Cottonwood Dr. Reconstruction:
The Road Commission is still waiting for a start date from the contractor for the project. Utility installation has begun, and the tree cutting for the widening of the road is completed. Who manages the roads and how are they funded?
The Ottawa County Road Commission manages the roads--not the Ottawa County Board of Commissioners or Ottawa County staff. The Ottawa County Road Commission is funded by fuel taxes, vehicle registrations and millage dedicated to the Ottawa County roads. Other property taxes you pay to Ottawa County do not fund road repairs or snow removal. Concerns about roads should be directed to the Ottawa County Road Commission. Questions?
