Ottawa County, Michigan Community Mental Health Press Releases Question, Persuade and Refer Lunch and Learns

QPR stands for Question, Persuade, and Refer — the 3 simple steps anyone can learn to help save a life from suicide.
Just as people trained in CPR and the Heimlich Maneuver help save thousands of lives each year, people trained in QPR learn how to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to question, persuade, and refer someone to help. Each year thousands of Americans, like you, are saying "Yes" to saving the life of a friend, colleague, sibling, or neighbor.
QPR can be learned in as little as one hour. Community Health of Ottawa County would like to extend an open invitation to a series of QPR Lunch and Learn that will be hosted at the James Street Campus in Holland as well as our Fulton Street Campus in Grand Haven. Below are the dates:
October 12th - James Street Campus Board Room
October 18th- Grand Haven Campus Training Room
November 23rd-Grand Haven Campus Training Room
November 29th- James Street Campus Board Room
All sessions will be from 11:30a to 12:30p
Please bring your own lunch to the training if desired. To register go HERE or contact Angie Schultz at 616.494.5574 or by email at aschultz@miottawa.org or if you have any questions.
