Dear community partners,

As you may have heard, the Ottawa County Food Policy Council is now known as Ottawa Food. We have a simplified name and a great new logo, and we’re asking for your support in our changeover to this new brand. To complement our mission of public health, reducing hunger and promoting local food choices, the new Ottawa Food logo is a rounded representation of an apple—a highly identifiable health food, part of a balanced diet and one of the largest and most valuable fruit crops grown in West Michigan. Inside this element are three seeds to signify Ottawa Food’s three priority areas: eliminating hunger in Ottawa County, healthy eating by all and increasing sourcing of local food.

We hope that this new name and identity, which matches our existing web address (www.ottawafood.org), will be easier for Ottawa County residents to identify, approach and remember as we grow our roots deeper into our community. We see this change as the first step to be a more consumer-friendly organization, and as the beginning of a new push for increased awareness and outreach with a name.  As a council, we will continue the same work, ensuring that all Ottawa County residents have access to healthy, local, and affordable food choices.

We know our old name and logo exists in many places across cyber space and on printed materials. Could you please help replace those with the new, as well as promote the change?  I have attached the new logo file here. If you could please replace our old logo and name with the new version wherever your organization uses it, we would appreciate it!  If you are not the right person in your organization for this request, please forward this email.

Below is some sample content you can use to help us promote the change. (Please customize it if you prefer!) You can copy the logo file from the top of this page and use it in your posts as well!
