Village of Milford Construction Updates for Week Ending 8/1/2014

The following is an update on current and upcoming construction projects within the Village of Milford as of August 1, 2014. Projected dates are weather permitting.

**Reminder - Main St. will be closed starting at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 7, 2014 for Milford Memories. Please follow posted detours. Main St. will reopen following the completion of cleanup, sometime early Monday morning. 

 

 

Phase II - 2013 Paving (Fairview Hills)

The final course of asphalt will be applied within the next couple weeks and only take one day. This was delayed due to weather and schedule. Spots needing undercuts were identified and these will be addressed when paving is scheduled. Notices will be delivered to the neighborhood as soon as a date is selected. Minor drain work near the intersection of First and Canal is being added to the project and will commence in the next two weeks. All restoration and punch list items will be complete by the end of July.

 

2014 Paving (Knight, Duke, Center)
Curb and gutter on the north side of Knight Street and the east side of Duke Street was poured on Monday, with concrete driveways following on Tuesday. The contractor is planning to begin re-grading the road starting on Saturday (weather dependent). Please do not drive on the newly installed concrete driveways until you have been notified you can do so by either the contractor or the project inspector (OHM).

 

Friar/Prince intersection work is scheduled to begin Monday (8/4). Notices were delivered to the homeowners Thursday morning (7/31). The remaining curb and gutter and driveway work on Knight and Duke will take place shortly thereafter.

 

Work on Center Street will not commence until after Labor Day.

 

Sewer Lining & Repairs
This work, which is taking place in various locations within the Village, went out for bid on June 11. The Village awarded of this project to at the July 21st Village Council meeting and work will begin after Milford Memories and be completed by early November.
