During the Milford Memories festival next week (including set-up and tear-down), many of the roads in and around downtown Milford will be closed and congestion is expected on those roads remaining open. Drivers travelling locally should follow posted detours.

For travel to destinations outside the Village, alternate routes are strongly advised. Below is a summary of the timing of the closures and areas impacted.

The only east-west routes which will be open are Huron St. and Summit St.

North-south traffic will be limited to the detour utilizing First St. to E. Commerce Rd.

NOTE: Peters Road will NOT be open to through traffic.

Central Park

Central Park will be closed for event setup starting on Wednesday, August 6th.

Road Closures: Thursday, August 7 – Sunday, August 10, 2025

The following roads will be closed starting ahead of the morning commute on Thursday, August 7th to allow for festival setup and will remain closed through the duration of the festival.

• Main St. between Huron St. and Summit St.
• Liberty St. west of Union St.
• Commerce Road between Union St. and Highland Avenue (through traffic only - Mill Valley shopping center and West Public Parking Lot remain accessible)
• Canal St. west of Union St.

Access to public parking lots is not impacted by the closures on Thursday, August 7th. This includes the East and West Municipal Parking Lots as well as the DDA-owned parking lot off of Oak St. and Commerce Rd. Please note, this applies to Thursday only as some lots will have restrictions (handicap-only, etc.) restrictions in place during the festival.
