The following is an update on the current construction project within the Village of Milford as of May 30, 2025. Information on construction projects may be found at villageofmilford.org/roads. 

Projected dates and timelines are all weather permitting.

 

West Huron Street Project

Retaining wall construction is complete. During the construction, it was determined that the water main located in this section needed replacement due to its condition. As a result, there will be a temporary pause in the work while the required State of Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) permitting is processed. We anticipate that work will resume in the next few weeks, upon receipt of the permit from EGLE.

West Huron St. between General Motors Road and the Peters Rd. Bridge remains closed to traffic. Peters Road will be closed to through traffic during this time. Janowski Park, including the baseball fields and the mountain biking trailhead, is accessible via W. Commerce Rd.
