The following is an update on current and upcoming construction projects within the Village of Milford as of September 22, 2023. Projected dates and timelines are all weather permitting.

Union & Summit Street Road & Utilities Project

This week brought completion of the asphalt base course on all roads within the project scope as well as restoration of the disturbed area. Grass has been planted and growth will be monitored over the coming weeks. The traffic signal at Summit and Union, as well as some of the existing signage, has been re-installed.

Work proposed for the end of this week includes milling the existing asphalt on Summit between N. Milford Road and Union Street with the final top course of asphalt scheduled to be placed on Monday (weather permitting). The contractor will attempt to maintain one-way traffic whenever possible during paving operations, but local residents impacted by intermittent road closures during these construction activities will be notified.

If necessary, additional traffic and pedestrian detours will be implemented for the safety of the residents and construction workers. All work is weather permitting. 

Old Plank Rd. - Rail Crossing Maintenance

Old Plank Road near the railroad crossing will be closed for maintenance work through Tuesday, October 3rd. Please follow the posted detour, which is Dawson to South Hill for NB traffic and South Main/South Hill to Dawson for SB traffic.
